Ireland 2024

Castlemartyr, County Cork

Sunday 22 - Thursday 26 September, 2024

Meeting registration is closed.

Failte / Welcome!

The 41st meeting of the International Fetal Medicine & Surgery Society (IFMSS) will take place at Castlemartyr, Co. Cork (two hours south of Dublin).

This three-and-a-half-day meeting will present the most current knowledge, advances, and controversies in the fields of fetal medicine and therapy

The underpinning theme for IFMSS 2024, in Irish is “Sármhaitheas agus Craic”. "Sármhaitheas" translates best as “excellence”, a key element of the research and clinical practice of IFMSS. It also encapsulates what we hope to show you as the very best of Ireland, in a myriad of ways. "Craic" is, well … untranslatable. Rest assured that its meaning will become clear to you when you join us in Cork. You'll just have to come to find out!

This year, your registration and accommodation need to be paid separately. Castlemartyr has some very reasonable accommodation options, which we hope will encourage many of you to attend.

The Meeting

There will be an opening welcome reception at Castlemartyr on the evening of Sunday, September 22. The meeting will start on the morning of Monday, September 23, and run until lunchtime on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

A completely separate “hands-on” Fetal Therapy Simulation Course (course is now full) will be held at University College Cork (UCC) on Friday, September 27, 2024. Space is strictly limited to 20-24 people.

An enticing program of events and visits will be organized for accompanying persons. Updates to both the scientific and social programs will be published on this site closer to the meeting date.

We hope to welcome you to Cork in September 2024!
